We have a new permanent Intermediate/Senior Developer position available.

We are a Wellington based tourism technology company providing online booking and sales channel management solutions to tourism operators worldwide. We are located in funky New York loft style premises in the midst of great shopping, bars & restaurants.

We are located in the central city and have a great work culture with flexible hours. We are entering a new and exciting growth phase not only based on increasing demand for our core product but new opportunities with the development of related products. We therefore need to grow our development team to help meet the demand.

Role Responsibilities

You will be primarily responsible for the development of new responsive client facing screens in an Agile project management environment. Specifically this includes:

Upgrading legacy website pages into our new SPA

Assisting with designs for new features/pages

Fixing any problems found with the API

Candidate Experience Sought

SPA frameworks (Vue2, Angular)

CSS Preprocessors (SASS / SCSS, LESS)

Build processors (Webpack, Gulp, Grunt)

E2E / Unit testing (Jasmine, Protractor, Chrome Headless, Karma, Browserstack)

Design framework (Bootstrap, Material)

JS ES6+ (doesn't rely on jQuery for everything)

Version Control (git, SVN)

PHP experience would be a bonus

JS / CSS linting, can write code that meets standards

ChartJS / D3 / graphing libraries would be a bonus

Candidate Skills Sought

Building pages that work across multiple browsers & devices

Good eye for user experience including responsive design

Integrate with existing backend APIs

Work collaboratively in an Agile Scrum team

Knows how to use existing libraries without adding bloat

Can automate common tasks such as builds

Develops with other timezones and languages in mind

Has an eye for accessibility design

Good written & verbal communication

Can follow and contribute to an existing design style guide

Hours/Days of Work

Full time, 5 days per week (Mon - Fri)
