Excluding Units

There are two types of unit exclusion available.  The first type is a full exclusion such as when the room is out for maintenance and will be treated as a non bookable for occupancy reporting.  A full exclusion requires the exclusion to be removed before any bookings can be inserted.  A partial or web exclusion has now been added as a second option.  A web exclusion will prevent any sales channels or website bookings from being assigned to these units but you can enter a back end booking without needing to delete the exclusion first.

A partial or web exclusion is still treated as bookable as far as the occupancy report is concerned.

Follow the instructions below to exclude a unit.

Step Action
1 Log into your Seekom iBex account.
2 From the Admin menu, select Calendar
3 From the View selector, select Unit Exclude.
4 3 options are available – Exclude Full, Exclude Web and Include – select option required
5 Tick start date and end date for unit to be excluded (or included).
6 Click Save button.

To create a booking over a web exclusion, simply click on the X (in calendar unit view screen – see sample screen image below) and it will open a new booking screen and allow you to overwite the exclusion.  You will be advised that an exclusion exists in the status field of the unit selected but it is a warning only.

If you attempt to create a booking on a fully excluded unit by clicking on the X (in calendar unit view screen – see sample screen image below), it will open the booking screen but the unit selected will not appear for selection.
