If you have a website provided by Seekom we recommend you place your website into maintenance mode immediately ahead of iBex scheduled outage on 19 June to prevent errors appearing on your website.

Maintenance mode means a splash screen will be displayed to website visitors here you can give them information about the outage and provide alternative contact details.

If you are on a managed website plan Seekom staff will perform activation and de-activation of maintenace mode for you.

 

HOW TO ACTIVATE MAINT MODE

  1. Log into your website admin
  2. From side menu select 'General Settings | WP Maintenance Mode'
  3. From 'General' tab (the default) set 'Status' to 'Activated'
  4. Scroll down and click blue 'Save Settings' button
  5. Click 'Design' tab
  6. In text field we suggest you add contact details such as your phone number, email and optionally your address
  7. Scroll down and click blue 'Save Settings' button
  8. In upper black menu bar click 'Clean Cache'
For same day outages we recommend you stay logged into your website admin on the same page so that as soon as you are ready you can re-activate. This means you can bypass steps 1-2 below
DE-ACTIVATE MAINT MODE
  1. Log into your website admin
  2. From side menu select 'General Settings | WP Maintenance Mode'
  3. From 'General' tab (the default) set 'Status' to 'Deactivated'
  4. Scroll down and click blue 'Save Settings' button
  5. In upper black menu bar click 'Clean Cache'
